Installing more than one coating is a system. Exceptional coatings rely on the strength of various polymers of the same type. Specifications dictate which system is best suited to achieve ultimate performance.
Very few chemical applications are 100% green or nature-derived. Large chemical manufacturers are finally committing significant R&D on sustainable, renewable and environmentally friendly solutions. We fervently await this overdue need in the construction industry.
Once cured, coating systems are 100% inert and non-toxic. These same coating systems are certified by Health Canada.
It depends on the type of coating system and the environment. Some residential and high build industrial coating systems can last 30 years or more with minimal maintenance.
There are a few types of existing flooring that will produce successful results. However, tile and previous coatings in good condition are acceptable candidates.
